Why Mindfulness At Work?
Research into mindfulness continues to grow and show the extensive benefits of incorporating mindful practices into our routines. These benefits range from improved mental health to increased empathy, patience, and compassion, and reduced bias. Mindfulness can be broken into three basic tenets: being present, self-awareness, and suspending judgment. Fleeceandforests workshops and meditations teach your employees to grow their mindfulness practice and become better leaders, team members, and project managers.
Elyssa has created a wonderful workshop to introduce meditation to engineers and consultants. Her presentation had impactful information, including an interactive conversation section, and a short meditation at the end. We here at WSP thoroughly enjoyed this workshop and are already planning the next meditation workshop in her series to bring to our offices!

Elyssa led a presentation and short meditation at the Oregon ASCE YMF leadership conference. It was a nice change of pace from the other conference sessions and a great way to wind down. Introduction to Mindfulness
Virtual, 30 minutes
The Introduction to Mindfulness workshop introduces participants to mindfulness including the basic tenets and practices, explores the science behind mindfulness, and provides an overview of the individual, team, and leader benefits of mindfulness.
Engineering Your Mind
Virtual, 60-90 minutes
The Engineering Your Mind workshop introduces more specific mindfulness practice techniques, further details benefits based on mindfulness research, and examines how mindfulness practices can strengthen soft skills necessary in technical careers for successful teamwork and leadership.
This workshop can be offered as a sequel to the Introduction to Mindfulness workshop or as a standalone session. The standalone session incorporates relevant elements of the Introduction to Mindfulness workshop.
Mindful Teams
Virtual, 60-90 minutes
The Mindful Teams workshop presents specific skills for individuals and teams. The workshop can include a focus on communication, goal setting, change management, and/or unconscious bias reduction.
This workshop can be offered as a sequel to the Introduction to Mindfulness workshop and/or the Engineering Your Mind workshop or as a standalone session. The standalone session incorporates relevant elements of the Introduction to Mindfulness and Engineering Your Mind workshops.
Mindful Leadership
Virtual, 60-90 minutes
The Mindful Leadership workshop presents specific leadership skills including active listening, reduced bias, and self-awareness through the lens of mindfulness practices.
This workshop can be offered as a sequel to the Introduction to Mindfulness workshop and/or the Engineering Your Mind workshop or as a standalone session. The standalone session incorporates relevant elements of the Introduction to Mindfulness and Engineering Your Mind workshops.
Mindful Client Relationships
Virtual, 60-90 minutes
The Mindful Client Relationships workshop introduces skills to build new client relationships and successfully maintain existing networks using mindful communications and change management.
This workshop can be offered as a sequel to the Introduction to Mindfulness workshop and/or the Engineering Your Mind workshop or as a standalone session. The standalone session incorporates relevant elements of the Introduction to Mindfulness and Engineering Your Mind workshops.
